"They didn't think it was big enough or culturally important," Krishnamurphy tells, "and of course, when I tell people that usually, the reaction is they're shocked." It's a powerful means of self-expression, a cultural statement, and a reflection of the ever-evolving nature of the culture. In the world of hip-hop, fashion is more than just clothing.
